Our very own Wonder Woman – Photoshoot

I am delighted to have partnered with the extremely talented Chanon DeValois photography. To create a series of Portrait Photo’s for our ‘Warrior Women Series’.

There are few creatures in the world stronger than the mighty woman. We have so much to contend with on a daily basis, but some have had it harder than others.

Meeting up with my photographer friend Chanon for lunch recently, we were sharing various stories and realised that we both had something in common. We were both bullied at school, leading to insecurities within ourselves. Something many can associate with I’m sure but what we realised is that this experience, of us feeling bad about ourselves in our younger years, had led to both of us having a passion for helping others feel good about themselves.

Through this the idea for our “warrior women series” was born. Helping woman realise that we are all uniquely beautiful and we should embrace our inner ‘warrior’. With the 2017 release of Wonder Woman we were excited to put together a series of photos of women of wonder who inspired us and we hope will help inspire others.

For our first shoot, we photographed two women – Sue, 42, who has cystic fibrosis and is a real life super woman, and Lacey, who last year undertook an incredible journey to become a new woman as she prepared to get married.

A Lovely Thank You from Jo’s Wedding

What a lovely Thank you email I just received from Jo. Who Married at the gorgeously grand Hengrave Hall near Bury st Edmunds on the 11th of september 2015. We did hair and makeup for the entire bridal party, Jo her 5 maids and her mum. It was a super fun morning and I had the help of the lovely Michelle Smith to help with the bridesmaids hair whilst I was doing hair and makeup for Jo. Not only has Jo sent such a lovely thank you she also shared these beautiful images by Justin Bailey of her getting ready from her wedding day. I think this captures the fun of the wedding morning beautifully. I hope you like them …

Hi Michelle,

I hope you are well. I just wanted to let you know how amazing you and Michelle were on my wedding day. My hair and make up looked absolutely stunning and I had so many compliments on it all day. It made such a difference to my confidence and I felt so gorgeous thanks to you.

My bridesmaids and mum all looked beautiful and we had such amazing fun with you both on the day. I cant believe how much you both accomplished in such a short time. You must have been exhausted!!

Finally thanks for all the extra help you both gave me in getting into my dress! I don’t know how we would have managed without you both. You were both brilliant at keeping me calm despite me getting very stressed towards the end. lol.

I’m a Finalist!!

I’m absolutely delighted to announce that I am a finalist again for the 2nd year in a row for the Essex Wedding Awards.

I entered for best Make-up Artist again this year and for the 1st year Hair Stylist and I’ve been shortlisted in both categories. I couldn’t be happier. I’ve worked so hard this year and being recognised for an award is just amazing. I’m one lucky lady!

I can’t thank all my brides enough! Thank you to all those who have written such lovely reviews, sent me their wedding pictures and looked gorgeous! Thank you for helping me make finalist again this year! I’m really looking forward to enjoying the glitzy award Ceremony in the luxurious Quendon Park with the Hubby at the end of November. I’ll keep you all  posted!

Alberta’s Birthday Makeup

Such a busy day yesterday with a Prom trial for the lovely Lucy & then an evening make-up for Alberta who was celebrating her 18th Birthday yesterday. She was recommended by a friend and was delighted by her make-up. Even letting me take a cheeky snap on my phone (“ahhh not in my pink track suit” she said).
